Description
The Fremont River is 95-mile (153 km) long river in southeastern Utah, United States that flows through Capitol Reef National Park to its eventual joining with the Colorado River. It provided a year-round water source for irrigation for the Fremont Native Americans starting in the 700s, then to the Mormons starting around 1880, and also to today agricultural lands along its course. Here it flows through Capitol Reef National Park and the Fruita Historic District.
