Camels have been domesticated by humans for about 5000 years. They are used for riding, racing, carrying things as pack animals, for meat, milk and wool. However outside of Cairo, around the Giza Pyramids, they are used as tourist attractions.
Riding a camel takes a bit of getting used to, especially when they are getting up and sitting down. But once you’re on it, it is fun.
