Photography has always been a part of my life. I grew up with a darkroom in the basement of my 250 year old farmhouse and a camera slung over my shoulder. I have always dreamed of becoming a photographer, but life got in the way, as I acquired a degree in computer science and an MBA in finance and spent over 16 years in the banking and finance industry.
After the birth of my two beautiful children, I realized I was ready for a change. It was time to pursue my lifelong dream. So, i got out my trusty camera and started shooting pictures again. I spent many years doing family and child portraits. As a mom, I understand and appreciate how important it is to capture the beauty and innocence of a child and the emotional connection between family members, but my true love was landscape, nature and art photography. I started sharing some of my personal work on social media and my friends began to notice. They were intrigued by my point of view and creativity. They would say that I have a different way of looking at things and finding beauty in every day life. I truly believe that 'Photography is painting with light', and i feel that sets me apart from others.
I have studied with the New York Institute of Photography and have taken numerous courses on portraiture, lighting and composition. As a member of The Professional Photographer Association, I am currently working as a freelance Real Estate Photographer in the Northern/Central New Jersey Real Estate market.
