Kristine graduated from the American Academy of Art where she studied watercolors with Irving Shapiro. She later studied with Thelma Cornell Spain. After graduating she worked as an illustrator for a Chicago ad agency, production artist and graphic artist. Her illustrations have been seen in the Chicago Tribune and on full color packaging. Having explored abstracts, landscapes, floral subjects, and various pet portraits, she is now focusing primarily on equine paintings. As a horse owner, and active amateur dressage rider, and competitor, she tries to capture the individuality of the horses she knows and loves. She also paints the Saucer Magnolia tree flower that grows in the midwestern states. Kristine's paintings show strong use of color, giving life and vitality to her equine subjects and are displayed in homes throughout the United States.
