I live in the small community of Loves Mill in southwest Virginia, where I grew up on the farm where I still live.   I was bitten by the 'radio bug' early in life and went to work for local station WMEV in Marion soon after I graduated high school.   After 25 years in broadcasting I spent time in television production, sales and customer service.   I've fought a lifelong battle with depression that ended up nearly taking my life more than once within the past 15 years.   However, after numerous suicide attempts and many, many hospitalizations I feel better mentally than I have in...more
