I am originally from Hiroshima, Japan and have been living in the U.S. for about 30 years now.
I first took notice of photography when my father won a prize in an amateur photo contest held by one of the prestige photo magazines in Japan. He took his prized photo in the neighborhood park where I played a lot. His photo earned a full page feature in the magazine and that impressed me how an ordinary, insignificant and unnoticeable moment of life can become something noticeable, significant and extraordinary in one shot. That's what I love about photography and that's what I would like to do every time I press the shutter button~capturing a moment to show how special each moment really is.
