When moving to the United States from Venezuela at the age of nine, I learned about the power of art as a tool for connection and transformation. Art became a transcendental language in which I could express myself and communicate with the world and other realms. My art is very much influenced by my dreams and connection to nature. Each piece is a conversation with spirit where chaos coexists with order, lightness with darkness; where brush marks and colors breathe new life and new intentions. Floating images of visions dreamed and lived weave in and out, intertwining with messages and visions I receive from my angels and spirit guides which inspire and change me.
Through painted ornamental patterns, decorative fabric, organic shapes, all these recollections and loves become alive in my work providing a backdrop for the vivid memories of my past and the realities and perceptions of my present. The moments, lessons, and experiences, that until now have shaped me and which are constantly redefining me as a person, interact with one another and find a home in my work. Questions are formed, paradoxes and transformations embraced. And in the end, what is left, is my renewed sense of wonder and optimism, and the hope that this message transcends my art.

Fena Gonzalez is an award winning artist whose paintings have been exhibited widely in cities around the world. A graduate of Tufts University, Fena's intention is to inspire others to connect to their own innate creativity and wisdom as well as to awaken more light and love through her art.
