This is my recently adopted new member of the family. Zara is a 3 year old mix breed of German Shepherd and Chinook. What a fabulous girl she is. We adopted her from a rescue, which I highly suggest to do if you are looking for a four-legged friend. I always say there is something SPECIAL about a rescued dog! She is no different. She is truly an amazing dog and I know dogs! Zara's story is not much different than most rescues. As far as we know, she was originally found in South Carolina as a stray. She must have had a hard couple of years because she looked it when she was originally found. She was extremely skinny when we adopted her and her hard life can be seen by a couple of scars on her body. But no matter how hard her life was then, she is a sweetheart of a dog and so well-behaved. She has found her forever home which is filled with Love and Loads of attention that she will always have. She rarely leaves my side and I am ok with that! What a sweetheart.
