David Keith McCallum was a talented Scottish actor and musician who left an everlasting mark on the entertainment industry. He is best known for his iconic portrayal of the secret agent Illya Kuryakin in the popular TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. McCallum also played other prominent roles on television, including Simon Carter in Colditz (1972-1974) and Steel in Sapphire & Steel (1979-1982). In recent years, he gained a new generation of fans with his portrayal of NCIS medical examiner Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard on the long-running American TV series NCIS, a role he played for over two decades. Additionally, he made a memorable appearance on the big screen in the classic film The Great Escape (1963).
