Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Inc. When local residents took on the project of restoring the former Catholic Church in Wellfleet and transforming the beloved historic structure into a year-round cultural center, it became the Wellfleet Preservation Hall. The renovated building has helped to revitalize this Cape Cod village's Main Street. The building and town have come alive with cultural, recreational and intellectual programs that radiate with the town's essential charm and character.

This image is a close up of the beautifully carved and painted front entrance. The carvings depict biblical characters and stories in keeping with the original origins of the structure.

The Hall provides a unique venue for civic, educational, social and creative arts events for young and old, individuals and families, locals and visitors alike.

Wellfleet is located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, halfway between the fingers (where Provincetown is) and the elbow (where Chatham is located). The town had a population of 2,750 at the 2010 census, which swells nearly sixfold during the summer. A total of 70% of the town's land area is under protection, and nearly half of it is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Wellfleet is famous for its eponymous oysters, which are celebrated in the annual October Wellfleet OysterFest.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
