Description
A well known scene – the stone archway passage outside of Union Station in Washington D.C. This is one of the grander railway stations in the U.S., but like many the main concourse inside seems now to be a little detached from the working train station. Even many of the amenities are located in the more modern accommodations within the main complex. So glad they’re still here, though – they remind of a time when the U.S. may have had designs on a grand railway system. An ambition that seems to have dwindled, somewhat.
