Description
Two Classics by Lynn Sprowl
These two Classic Ford Model A's sit in the parking lot of the Grand Lake Lodge, reminding us of early travel to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The Grand Lake Lodge was opened in 1920 to serve tourists visiting Rocky Mountain National Park via the Trail Ridge Road, completed the same year. Located in Grand Lake, Colorado, the rustic lodge was founded by Frank Huntington and Roe Emery on land owned by the National Park Service at the edge of the park. In 1963 the lodge owners were able to exchange park inholdings they had acquired for the lands related to the lodge, removing the lodge from the park. Selected in 1979 for the National Registry of Historic Places.

Great capture of these two vintage Fords. I think we were in the exact same spot, because I have a very similar image. Great shot!
Lynn Sprowl replied:
To get the lodge and the old cars, you almost had to stand right there... Thank you Tony.

What a great find of these two vintage cars, beautifully captured, and wonderful background, too. L/F
