Description
I remember seeing a Japanese painting of a scene somewhat like this. It was the drama and the impending circumstance that somehow stuck with me. I needed to get the image out of my head and onto something else, so I put it on paper using Daniel Smith watercolor paints. I like the red boad, the golden sun and the colors in the wave itself. It certainly conveys the feeling I remember.
