Description
The "treasure fleet" ceremoniously bringing the Longquan origin Celadon back from the Nanhai One shipwreck.
The Nanhai One (a Chinese merchant ship which sank off the south China coast during the Southern Song Dynasty between 1127 and 1279) shipwreck was discovered in 1987. In 2007, China began to raise the ship and its artifacts. The ship was placed in a pool-type container called the "Crystal Palace" in the purpose-built Maritime Silk Route Museum. A portion of the cargo was discovered to be from Longquan and for a limited time returned home to be on display. (April 2019)
