Topsail Island, NC. Aerial. Swing bridge. This image is from my first flight over Topsail to take pictures for documentary purposes. Here we see the Swing Bridge in action as she turns to let large boats through--it was so interesting to watch the bridge working from above. I hope you enjoy this shot! I started visiting Topsail in 1975, when I was a wee one, and began photo-documenting it regularly right after Hurricane Bertha hit in 1996. I share a love of Topsail that has lasted for decades.
