Description
They say that on a clear day you can see Mt Fuji from the Tokyo Skytree tower, the tallest structure in Japan. I took a chance and bought a ticket online before arriving in Tokyo and hoped for good weather. On the appointed day, there were clear blue sunny skies so I headed out early to have a view. At 634 meters (2080 feet), Tokyo Skytree is the tallest tower in the world and the second tallest structure in the world. It was needed in this day and age of skyscrapers which made the old Tokyo Tower, (332.9 m, built in 1958) obsolete in terms of providing complete digital broadcasting coverage. The color of the lattice is officially called “Skytree White”, an original color based on a bluish white traditional Japanese color.
