Description
Inside the historic Clairemont, TX, county jail. The red sandstone jailhouse was built in 1894; it became obsolete following the 1952 move of the Kent County seat to neighboring Jayton. The old Clairemont jail gained a reputation as one of the most secure in West Texas, with no successful escapes.
