Every time I stop by your gallery, I wonder why I suspect that you're being inspired by or driven by an inscrutable, invisible reality that is completely outside the narrow confines of our puny intellect. You remind me of a beautiful poem by the Lebanese-american poet Khalil Gibran. In one of his poems, he alludes to being guided by or touched by THE INEFFABLE. He writes, "Am I a harp that the hand of THE MIGHTY may touch me of a flute that His breath may pass though me. If this indeed by the hour in which I lift up my lantern, it is not my flame that shall burn therein. Empty and dark shall I raise my lantern and the guardian of the night shall fill it with oil and He shall light it also." It may be true, my dear Laurie, that the breath of THE MIGHTY is passing through you and inspiring you on a daily basis. Did you know the word INSPIRE comes from the Latin root meaning TO BREATHE INTO?

I'm so honored for your visit and thoughts, Bijan. I can't thank you enough for your beautiful word and kindness. I am very grateful for the creative process. It helps me feel inspired and it soothes my soul and eases the pain and struggles all of us go through from time to time. There are many times that I do not feel it was me creating but the God Force within me that was creating and guiding the brush. I absolutely love Khalil Gibran's work! Inspiration, yes to breathe into...I had to learn some Latin when taking anatomy in Nursing school many years ago. May we all be kept safe and well during life's storms. Stay safe and well my friend and thank you!
