Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area bordering Oval Beach in Southwest Michigan USA. They don't call them rolling hills for nothing. The wind and sand action sculpt the landscape and the roots of the beach grass dig in providing support for the mounting structures. The single home seen in the photo actually sits across the Kalamazoo River hidden from view. Facing Lake Michigan, they are very fortunate to enjoy the magnificent view. Oak dominate the forested areas turning burnt orange and yellow during the autumn season and the beach grass eventually turns golden brown.
