Description
The Least Bittern Stretch by Debra Martz I followed this Bittern as it worked its way through the green vegetation of the brackish water line until it finally came out in the open. This is not something they often do as they are more of a secretive bird. When I see them even peeking through reeds I feel privileged for the view and to get this full bodied view was wonderful! Captured while walking the 3300' boardwalk at South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center.

Great image, Degbra. Have never seen this type of bittern. We just have the American Bittern in WA. And it is shy. LF
