The Gondola lift that carries you to the Observation Deck at Monarch Mountain Ski area in Colorado. Monarch Mountain is on Colorado's Western Slope.
In this case, the JOURNEY truly was the reward!
This tram takes one to the crest of "The Great Divide." With view from this aerie one can see vast distances.
You can see Pikes Peak and all the mountains in a 360 degree view.
Talk about a view!!! Tram goes from Monarch Crest lodge to the top of the mountain. From there you can see 360 degrees and there are descriptive signs on all four sides that name the mountains and landmarks. Take binoculars. Wonderful gift shop at the base.
