Description
Henry Huggins of Portland Oregon is an infamous character created by author Beverly Cleary. His character was modeled after the boys she grew up next to on Hancock street in Portland Oregon. The Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden where his statue sits, is the one and the same place where, in the books, Henry likes to dig for night crawlers. The detail in his sculpture is quite amazing. The sculpture garden was created in October 1995 and dedicated to infamous writer Beverly Cleary who created these wonderful characters. Now children of all ages can puddle stomp with Ramona with Henry looking on and Ribsy jouning the fun.
