Having the ability to create something unique is a truly admirable skill, in which I have always found inspiration. This fun little drawing speaks about freeing the creative mind. A plaza, lined with "standard" shaped buildings leads the viewer's eye to the enormous abstract rose shaped structure, whose purpose is left to the viewer's imagination. Contrasts in scale and architectural style represent often difficult to overcome constraints brought about by societal expectations. Dare to be different.
Freehand drawing with India ink on watercolor paper, which was then converted to a digital file for color application.

This reminds me of the animation style used in "The Simpsons" (which was intended to be a compliment!). I love the simplicity of the shapes, the vibrant colors, and the juxtaposition of the organic "rose" with the very linear plaza. Cool!
