Description
'Out on the water' - inspired by a trip to Sidmouth beach in Devon UK, I created this painting while sat on the pebbles looking west towards the high red cliffs and red pillar of rock that can be faintly seen in the background. Working plein air, I started with some loose washes of watercolor on mixed media paper and then drew in key lines in the sky and sea, added a man in a suit off in the distance and a belted galloway cow with its distinct white stripe.
