Description
This is one of the first landscapes that greeted us upon our arrival in the Land of Enchantment. Santa Cruz lake is a dam located near Chimayo, Nambe, and Cundiyo, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and we photographed it from Overlook Campground, in land managed by the Bureau of Land Management, (BLM.) We arrived a few minutes before sunset and while sunset didn't look that promising, we waited a few minutes until the sun went down below the Jemez Mountains and Valles Caldera, to the west. The cool mountain air filled with juniper and pinon scent invigorated us and inspired us to praise God in his natural creation. Thanks for looking! FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
