Description
Scituate lighthouse sits on Scituate harbor. This is actually an October sunset after shooting down in Rhode Island I stopped here to avoid the go home traffic. Of historical note, the lighthouse was built in 1810 by the United States Congress for $4000 to build a lighthouse at Scituate Harbor. The Light, of split granite blocks with a one and one half story house attached, was activated in 1811.
