Description
This watercolour is a semi-abstract composition on a table-top.
A heart patterned jug of roses, a cup of tea ( in a proper cup with a saucer ), a plate of pears, with a stray rose and a pear .
A period chair back and lace curtains are reflected in the shiny wood of the table and link the foreground to the background and completes the composition.
The theme of interlinked circles --plate, table-top, cup, saucer, base and top of the jug, chair back, pervades the piece and vibrant pink colour links the elements and hints at a secondary theme of love ( hearts and roses !)
