Description
Sometimes it's all about the journey and this spot shows that as good as any I've seen. It's so easy to walk right past this spot on the way to the North Window but we like to make the most of the stair stepped walkway especially when the Milky Way is in position. When they line up right, they are a sight to behold… and they give our students a great opportunity to capture a masterpiece.
With open spots in April, June, August, and September you won't want to miss our exciting workshop events - so you can learn how to shoot the Milky Way like a pro. April is a great time to catch the Milky Way arcing like a rainbow as shown here over the North Window in Arches National Park. See more details at NightPhotographyWorkshop.com.
How I Got The Shot
I took my time to decide on just the right composition with the camera in a vertical orientation. I then began shooting in a sequence of 9 shots across the scene aiming for about 50% overlap.
