THese are the stone troughs that once were used to feed King Herod's horses. This stable was near the top of Tel Meggido where King Herod had two palaces; one on the North and one on the South side of Tel Meggido. This horde stable was used by his cavalry which served as his Quick Reactionary Force (QRF) should there be any uprisings at Tel Meggido. The beauty of the region was breathtaking.
