Description

Done back in 012000, this original oil on canvas was dated 1/2K on the canvas. - It is named “Squatting Both Ways in an Orange Filled Pie Sky”. This surrealistic oil paintings dimensions are 20.50” x 40”. The canvas was stretched around stretcher bar frames I built, and then was gessoed by me. After that the painting was created. I framed this piece with molding I bought for an art show I had in 2007. This is a rather surrealistic and abstract scene where a human like image is centralized squatting in the middle with feet aiming both front and back, just as its arms and outstretched arms are as well. The organs of this specimen are 3D in nature floating in place. A Large Fallen Star is on the ground lies just to the left of its feet, by a body of water. The ground is fashioned as linked marble together as the flooring. Roots seems to stretch out over and thru a brick layered wall to the right fading off into the distance. A female comes down from the sky above also in the distant upper right with the visions and the form of a bird’s head grasping one of her emerald eyes. Two lovers lay together and play as scissors hover above, with an olive nearby. Gridlines and geometrical orange and blue spaced blocks spread out and make-up this fine lined creative network of a pie like spider webbed complementary sky. I enjoy many different genres when it comes to creating my visual fine art. I have gone through many phases and continue to do so to this very day. I hope to continue too as long as I can.
