Water is gold in the Texas panhandle. Passing through Slaton, Texas, on a hot August afternoon, my eye was drawn to the old, steel water tower looming above the city skyline. Its precious contents fed to the homes and businesses of the Lubbock County town. Radio antennae and the industrial, erector-set-esque tower structure complete the vintage feel of this venerable West Texas water tower. This black and white fine art photographic image highlights the vintage look of Slaton's water tower.
