Description
Sentry 1 is a standalone painting that can also function as a diptych with Sentry 2. The original is made from sculpted string and paper over an expressionist/surrealist acrylic landscape painting. A special fiber stiffening medium was used to saturate the paper and string, which were sculpted in layers to create a lot of "air" in the tree figure. Gilded metal foil details add additional interest and finish the piece - tying the geometric motifs together.
