"Royal Hawaiian Wicked Wahine" By Diann Fisher. (Apocynaceae) Plumeria's were used for the original scented perfume known as the Vintage Royal Hawaiian Wicked Wahine. Soft, light and delicious. Other flowers have created other varieties, but the plumeria was the original flower for this popular Hawaiian perfume. Wahine is the hawaiian word for woman. Why wicked, because the scent is so enticing to a suitor it's considered wicked!

The Plumeria bloom in White and Yellow, both beautiful and fragrant. This beautiful and delicate tropical flower makes a lovely perfume, but the milk the plant produces is poisonous and care must be given when handling them. This flower was captured in my backyard in Valrico, Fl. The Plumeria can be grown in tropical climates. Central and Southern Florida temps can be suitable when protected from cold winter days.
