Route 66 Hollywood Winslow Arcadia Tulsa Chicago by Debra Martz A little way East from Arcadia on the Mother Road was another stop the truck moment! Too bad when we pulled in to the drive, the gate was locked. But at least I was rewarded with this sign and the front of Volkswagen Bug. Also, I noticed they didn't know how far it is to Hollywood...which would be about 1350 miles. Digital filters applied to my original photograph.

Debra, we just drove up to Arcadia to John's Place last weekend so my mom could see it but the gate was closed :( it was still cool to see what we could from the outside. We went 10 more miles east to the motorcycle museum and he was open. Nice catch of a good memory! L

This was my/our first drive along this section of Rt66. Pandemic time do everything was closed :-(. Hope to make another trip soon.
