Description
It wasn’t until I was about half way around the circular 3-mile Red Beds Trail at Devils Tower National Monument that I understood where the name of the trail came from! The trail traverses several environments including some thinning ponderosa pine forest, open areas with views of the Black Hills, the Belle Fourche River and its associated floodplain and the beautiful red badlands that give the trail its name.
