Hey Inge, These look a lot like Blue Bonnets! What a beautiful scene!! Great capture!!

Inge Johnsson replied:

Hi Bonita, bluebonnets is a type of lupine that is endemic to Texas (Lupinus texensis). They are very similar to the lupines in Washington state like here at Mount Rainier. Thanks!

I look at this lovely photograph, Inge, and wonder how I've lived in Washington two years, without ever visiting Mount Rainier National Park. Love this blue carpet of lupines set before the blue hued moutain. Amazing raw beauty; great capture!

Inge Johnsson replied:

Thanks Lori. Yes, you really need to go up there in August and September; it is so wonderful :-)

Prosser, WA - United States

Such a beautiful meadow. You did it again, Inge. You have a great eye for seeing and capturing the beauty of the mountain landscape. Gets my vote

Inge Johnsson replied:

Thanks again, Charles. I cannot think of anything more rewarding than hiking around in mountainous areas such as this one on Mt Rainier. It is so peaceful and inspirational.
