The delicate, exotic and graceful Lagerstroemia speciosa (giant crepe-myrtle, Queen's crepe-myrtle, banabΓ‘ plant, or pride of India) is a species of Lagerstroemia native to tropical southern Asia. It is a deciduous tree with bright pink to light purple flowers often also found in other hospitable climates. I picked this beautiful blossom in May in Florida.
