Description
While visiting Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in early September, I came upon this seaside cottage displaying the US flag. Whether it was in honor of the upcoming 9/11 anniversary, or just as a patriotic display, it was a wonderful gesture.
September, some think, is the best time of year on the Cape. The weather is still warm, the crowds are gone, and the beaches are just for you. Provincetown lies at the very tip of the Cape Cod arm which thrusts out from the Massachusetts mainland into the Atlantic Ocean. It is filled with colorful shops, delightful restaurants, places of interest, such as Pilgrim's Monument, Provincelands and the US Life Saving Station.
