But, how many know that this temperate flowering plant is also called a rose mallow and that it will flourish high in the Colorado Rocky Mountains? This beautiful pink hibiscus grows in my mother�s flower bed near Hotchkiss, Colorado at high altitude with up to nine months of freezing temperatures possible.
