Description

This unusual landscape began as one of my macro photographs. When I paint, I often place a piece of cardboard beneath the canvas or cover my work table with paper. When I am finished, there are often interesting paint remnants on the board and I do some macros. This image initially made me think of an American southwest landscape with a sulfer lake, perhaps Utah's Great Salt Lake. But, rather than planting a preconcieved notion in the viewer's head, I'm just calling it Other Worldly.

In this version of the original, horizontal image, I have cropped it to a vertical rendering.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
