A macro of a lovely orange Marigold flower.

I wrote this description for another image I posted of a Marigold flower and truthfully, I can't really think of anything else when I look at Marigolds. It is Mom every time! ♥♥

Marigolds remind me of my childhood and especially my teenage years. Mom always grew marigolds in her garden. Many times she would have the entire front border filled with these bright yellow and orange flowers. Looking back, I am now amazed that she would allow me to cut 30-40 of these on Fridays in the Fall so my high school drill team could wear these in our hair for the football games. So these beauties are filled with memories of mom and great high school moments. Just the aroma of a marigold can transport me back to nervously waiting with my friends for the band to start its cadence and the fun of high school football nights!
