"Nocturnal Confessions" is an art series by M.B. Dallocchio that incorporates art, processing trauma, and finding beauty in the darkness. The series is a phantasmagoria inspired by travels through London colored with hues of neon pink, teal, turquoise, and sapphire. This series is one that focuses on the journey of shadow work and the strength it takes to keep going through the dark night of the soul.


"Nocturnal Confessions" focuses on the astral world and takes the viewer on a journey through the shadows of their own psyche and brings to light the beauty of the darkness and what we learn about ourselves in vulnerable moments.




"Nocturnal Confessions" explores the relationship between the tyranny of the day and the refuge of the night. It is a series about finding beauty in darkness, strength in vulnerability, and power in processing trauma. New insights are distilled from both constructed and discovered dialogues in processing complex polytrauma.



Ever since her time in the Army, Dallocchio has been fascinated by the essential unreality of the traumatized mind and viable paths to healing. What starts out as a triumph over internal struggles can become finessed into a manifesto of power, leaving only a sense of nihilism and the inevitability of a new understanding that the world before the trauma no longer exists.


As momentary phenomena become transformed through emergent and critical practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the mysteries of our future through these ectoplasmic dreamscapes as though one has traveled through the looking glass and into the surreal wonderland of high-functioning PTSD and Depression where a new and uncertain world is being born.
