Beautiful, in a strange sort of way.... the Muscovy Duck has a rather bumpy, warty face... in bright, brilliant red... and the male has a mix of black and white features, with the darker colors showing a wonderful iridescence in the sun... Truly wild individuals live far to the south of where I found this one just swimming around in a pond in Marshall, Virginia, but domesticated birds are a fairly common sight on farmland and in parks in much of the continental United States.
