Morning Star. Shawano Country hails itself as Wisconsin�s barn quilt capital. The barn quilt project was started in 2010. Shawano County Barn Quilt Project now boast over 300 barn quilts throughout the county on well-preserved barns. The designs are created by local artist, and then placed on a host farm. Barn quilts are an eight by eight foot piece of plywood. No two barn quilts are designed the same. All designs have been given a name. The name of the barn quilt pictured here is Morning Star.
