Description
Morning Shower is an original still life painting of a rickety rusty old hand-operated water pump. It is surrounded by pussy-willows, sprouting day lilies and periwinkle groundcover flowers. Two overgrown rusty metal buckets lie among the rocks below this forgotten farmyard treasure. With soothing blue tones highlighted by refreshing spring greens, this nostalgic Americana still life painting is full of country charm.
In the silent early morning mist of spring, this old relic seems suddenly to burst to life with the arrival of three excited bluebirds. They quickly enjoy a drink and a bath in the refreshing rainwater pooled in the natural bird bath, then flit away. So much for "still" life!
