I found this interesting old stove in McCathy's Pub in Fethard, Tipperary, Ireland. McCarthy's used to be a grocer, draper, restaurant, baker and hackney service back in the day. Now it is a pub, restaurant and undertaker! "We wine you, dine you and bury you" according to the current owner.
It is said that when a McCarthy family member is on the verge of death, a picture will fall from the wall, followed by three loud knocks on the front door!
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
