Description
I have lived in Maine my entire life, but had never heard of the Marshall Point Lighthouse, Port Clyde or St. George, Maine. I happened upon a link when I was searching the internet for places to visit in Maine. The property is beautifully kept and has some gorgeous scenic views. The lighthouse is well worth the visit.
Port Clyde is the southernmost area on the St. George peninsula in central/coastal Maine and part of the town of St. George in Knox County, Maine, United States. Port Clyde's harbor was originally known as Herring Gut. Marshall Point – site of the Marshall Point Lighthouse– is Port Clyde's southernmost extremity. This lighthouse on Port Clyde is the one to which Tom Hanks ran in the 1994 film “Forrest Gump”.

Wonderful capture Jan! Love the "ghostly" mood that you've managed to portray with the black and white. Well done!
