I took this shot of a little white sailboat sitting at the dock in Manteo, North Carolina (USA) many years ago, and I've always found it appealing.... even though I don't see anything particularly special about it. It's just a nice, quiet, soundside image that makes me feel a little like I'm standing by the water again... a simple capture of a lovely moment in a beautiful place.
This is actually the second variant of this image. I created a "painterly" version a while back, that is also available, entitled, "Dock at Pamlico Sound." "Little White Sailboat" retains more of the photo-realism of the original digital photo, but it has been enhanced with a little bit of "texturing" for a slightly soft, slightly vintage look that I think works well with this image.
