Description
The lesser yellowlegs is a medium sized shorebird with long bright yellow legs and a long neck and bill. It can be seen wading through shallow wetlands to hunt down its prey, consisting of small fish and insects. It is a brown and white bird with streaking on its breast. This particular bird was photographed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the fall. Water droplets can be seen as it was splashing about in the water.
