Description
This painting is about how many times our emotions can be very complex and have so many layers to them. They can also spring from many different sources and have a lot of different aspects or textures to them. This painting has an acrylic on canvas base with melted oil pastel splattering, pieces of receipt, birch bark, aluminum foil and gold foil. The receipt pieces in the left section combine to form a man, the 227 in the head signifying how sometimes humans have a tendency to view others as just numbers instead of recognizing each other’s individuality and celebrating our uniqueness.
